Calvin and I had a date night to Country Jam the end of July. He had gotten some tickets from work, and we both like country music. We had front row tickets for the Zac Brown Band on Saturday night. It rained all afternoon, but cleared up for their show. And it was an amazing show. I'm not a huge fan of theirs - I like their music, but I wasn't too familiar with many of their songs. But wow - they are great musicians. They played for about 3 hours, and we were entertained the whole time! The only bummer was we had to stand the whole time, and once you left you couldn't get back in, so no drinks or potty breaks for us!

Cory!!!
Cory came home in late July for a few weeks - he had been in the States doing some jumping out of planes training and decided to take a few weeks leave before heading back over to Germany. Everyone came over for the weekend to hang out. It was great to see him - although he spent a lot of time with his friends and girlfriend. He was very sad to leave, and we probably won't see him again until June. We're very proud of him - he's really grown up and has learned a lot in the year he's been in the Army.
Jocelyn was very excited to see him - we weren't sure how she'd react as she wasn't even 2 yet when he left. She didn't let him out of her sight much - he even took her to 2 nights of her swimming lessons!
Jocey and Henry. We really have to teach her how to hug her cousins without choking them....
She fits in the Bumbo better now than when she was younger and much chunkier.
Playing in the purple sand - I didn't want her to get all wet and purply.
Elliot just chillin'
What a good lookin' group!
Brian & Katie's Shower
Our good family friends the Quists and Bensons hosted a family baby shower for Brian & Katie on July 16th. It was so fun to get everyone together - it's quite the crew now that almost everyone is married and has at least one kid! We had a great time catching up with everyone and celebrating the new baby!
Good friends Jen and Brooklyn - the girls all thought the ladder golf games were great for climbing!
Story time with Uncle Ryan
We thought the shower was held plenty in advance, but there must have been something in the water that night...one of the party goers went into labor a few hours after the party ended, and of course, little Ella Marie made her appearance the following Thursday (more pics to come later with her)!

The Cabin
We once again made our annual trip up to the Deda's cabin in Phillips over the 4th of July. We couldn't have asked for a more perfect weather weekend, and a wonderful time was had by all. Jocelyn and I spent a lot of time in the water and she loved it. Calvin and Kailee spent a lot of time fishing and loved that too! Calvin and I slept in a tent - we're quickly outgrowing the cabin and those with new babies got to sleep in luxury. :) We're already looking forward to next year - Jocelyn has asked many times if we can go to the cabin!
Kailee's big catch - she doesn't put on worms and she doesn't touch the fish.
Henry! It was so fun spending time with our nephews - they are both so cute and getting so big.
Jocey "typing letters" on Cal's phone
Morgan and Henry taking a dip
Calvin, Kailee and I went turtle hunting (I was just there for the boat ride and beer drinking) and foud this little guy! Isn't he cute?
This is Elijah - he is the Deda's grandson. He and Jocelyn had a wonderful time playing together. They actually live close to us, so we really need to get them together for a play date!
An evening boat ride - guess it was past her bedtime.
Bath time for Henry!
Ama and her girls
All four cousins! This was funny trying to get this picture!
I love tubing. I haven't gone for a few years because I was either pregnant or Jocey was too little to spend much time in the water. So this year, I was very excited to go! Calvin and Adam pulled me and Jocey first, then when she got tired I went by myself. I was pretty sore the next day!
The dogs had a blast, as always. The horseflies were pretty bad this year, and they wouldn't leave the poor dogs alone. Ellie didn't get in as much swimming because of that, but still had fun.
Elliot! We were trying to get him to wear flip flops, but he wanted nothing to do with that!
Kailee and the Deda's other grandson, Lucas
Henry and Sophie
Chillin' watching TV
While we were at the cabin, Jocelyn got her first hair cut! I'd never cut it, and it was starting to get pretty scraggly. Plus she cried whenever I brushed it. I was sad that the curls would go away, but they actually stayed!
She sat so nice for Angie the whole time!
Thanks Ang!
