20 weeks

Here's the 20 week picture - halfway there! We go in for the ultrasound on Thursday, so I'll be sure to post those pictures as well. It should be the only one I have as long as everything keeps progressing smoothly.

I'm feeling good; I finally have some energy and don't have to be in bed by 9:00 every night! I'm glad it's been cool out so far - we haven't had to turn the air on yet and it's been fine. I'm starting to feel the baby move - so far it's like something poking at me from the inside, which I guess it is. I had a dream last night that the baby was a girl - my first baby dream. We'll see if it proves to be right!

Father's Day Weekend

Mom and Dad came over Father's Day weekend to help paint Kailee's new room - they made a lot of progress and now all that's left is the floor and some trim work. It was great for Calvin to have helpers; unfortunately I can't help with this part (darn...). We had a great weekend and love having them over for visits.

Kailee had a softball game Saturday morning - she's on an all girl's team this year. They've really gotten good this season, and Kailee is great at fielding! They have to slide everytime they come home (pretty much everyone gets home - they only advance one base at a time) and she's pretty proud of how good she's gotten at sliding!

It was a gorgeous weekend, and Kailee and Ellie had a great time playing in Ellie's new pool. She loves the water and just can't get enough of it. She loves to jump and catch the water too - that game could go on for hours!

Then there's Ginger, who wants nothing to do with the water - she's a sunbather!

Sunday we had Calvin's family over for a grill out and enjoyed the nice day. Happy Father's Day!

My expanding belly

The baby is growing quite well in my ever expanding belly! We've taken a picture every month, and will continue to add to it until the big day finally arrives. Thanks for all the well wishes - it was great to hear from everyone. The main question everyone has - are you going to find out what you're having? And NO - we're not! I've always wanted it to be a surprise, and Calvin agrees with me now too. :)

3:30 am adventure

We had storms come thru on Friday morning, about 3:30am. Why do these things always happen in the middle of the night? Anyway, I was up shutting our windows, and heard a splintering sound. I looked out our bedroom window, and saw our huge maple tree in the front had fallen over. There was a pine tree down in the backyard and our patio table glass had smashed into a million tiny pieces. Yuck. We're very thankful the tree fell where it did and didn't hit the house - it would have fallen right into our bedroom!
