September

Well, it's been a busy few months since school started! I truly thought I'd have so much time on my hands having 2 whole days off. Ha! I feel like maybe I'm slowly getting into a routine, but Calvin starts traveling for work soon, so that will be a whole other routine to get used to!

Jocelyn loves kindergarten, and is doing really well. She's made a lot of good friends, and is mostly always eager to tell us about her day. Her teacher has been out for an unexpected foot surgery since the first week of November, and won't be back until after Christmas break. I can definitely tell...it's almost been like the first month all over again. But, coping and patience is an important life skill, and we're working on both!

The first part of September we were able to head over to the Cities for precious Nora's baptism. I am honored to be her godmother! It was a beautiful day, and Nora screamed thru the whole service. Poor thing - she's usually so happy, but was not impressed at all.

Nicole's brother, Alex, is the godfather

Towards the end of September we spent a very fun night camping with Pat & Anita! We had wanted to go in the summer, but just didn't fit it in. We had a great time, the weather was beautiful, and the campground wasn't busy at all! Plus, we got to stay in the camper, which I have to admit (grudgingly) was great. I love tent camping, but since we only went for one night, and it rained overnight, putting up a tent would have been a lot of work.

Saturday night we just hung out, watched a fire, had s'mores, and Jocey rode her bike a whole bunch of times. That girl loves to ride her bike!

I'm seeing about 8 years into the future with this look....

Sunday morning was a bit chilly - perfect - had we had delicious bacon, eggs and coffee cake. Camping food is always so wonderful!

Then we took a walk - we went to Lake Wissota State Park, which we've gone to quite a bit - so we knew where we wanted to go for some good hiking.

Then it was time to pack up and go home! So easy - just drive away!
