3 Months

I can't believe Jocelyn is already 3 months old. Time is going by so fast, as I knew it would once I went back to work. I got on the scale yesterday (scary, I know) to see how much she weighs - and she's 14 pounds. We don't go back to the doctor until 4 months, and I was curious - she's getting noticably heavier.

She's continuing to be a great baby, and is really starting to be fun. She loves to smile and talk, sit and stand. She loves her Bumbo chair - she likes to be a big girl and sit by herself. She's starting to grab toys and loves to play with her hands. She gets really mad when she wants to suck on her hand but just can't quite get it in her mouth. She moves her whole body to her hand instead of just moving her hand...quite the ab workout! She was sleeping good - only waking up once a night, but then she got the cold and that went out the window - bummer. She's starting to laugh - especially when Daddy plays with her. We play peek-a-boo, fly like an airplane, ride the bike (moving her legs really fast), and pull ups - I think that's her favorite.

She continues to be the joy and love of our lives!

First Day of Daycare

Here's Jocelyn's first day of day care picture! She normally wakes up around 8 or 9, so waking up at 6 was not that fun. She actually does really well in the mornings and has only been awake when arriving at day care once! It's much easier to drop her off when she's sleeping - I don't feel so bad then. She seems to be having a fun time - she's made an art project almost every day she's been there and likes to smile and tell stories to her teachers. She practices something every day - this week it was sitting, playing in the Excersaucer and tummy time! She has also gotten her first cold from the snotty day care kids. :) Her nose is all stuffy and her eyes are goobery in the morning when she wakes up. Last night she slept in her car seat after we were up from 1 until 3:30 because she just couldn't breathe good laying down. Good thing winter is almost over!

Cute Baby

I've been in a picture taking mood lately, so here are some of, who else, Jocelyn! She puts up with me taking her picture pretty well, although now she tends to stop smiling and stare at the camera when I bring it out.

Talking to Grandma

Trying to roll over - she did it twice when I wasn't in the room, and then finally, a few weeks ago, did it about 3 times in a row while I was watching! She just has to get mad enough to kick her legs enough to roll herself. She hasn't done it since, but I got it on video!

We attempted an art project - she had gotten a ornament to make for Christmas, and we tried making her hand print in the plaster. She wasn't impressed. She wouldn't keep her hand open long enough to get a good print. I should have done it while she was sleeping!
