Govin's Farm

Last weekend we took advantage of the gorgeous day and went to Govin's farm.  We love going to see and hold the baby animals.

We took a wagon ride in and Jocey got to sit on the horse before we got started.  No fear at all from this girl - just hopped right on!
She was most excited to hold the chicks.  It was the last weekend the farm was open, and I typically like to go a little earlier - they're tinier and cuter.  But less fragile now!  Again - no fear, she just reached right in and scooped them up.

Always fun to feed the sheep.  She started out with just a few...
...but when the others discovered she had food they all came over for some!

 He's a squirmy one!
I really hope someday we're able to live a little bit out of town and get a few animals.  She loves it so much, and so does Calvin.  I could get used to a little farm life!

Randoms

Here are some random ones from the past 4 months

My birthday cake - Jocelyn wrote on it all by herself!  She was so proud.

 Poor Ginger is looking old
 Valentine's Day with the girls
We love our loom!  We have made many, many bracelets.

Jocelyn is obsessed with Frozen (as are most other little girls).  Ama got her the Anna dress, and she wears it quite frequently.  And dances around her room listening to the soundtrack.  We all have all the songs memorized and get to take turns being Anna or Elsa.
My cousin Laura and her daughter Sadie came over for a visit last month - the girls had so much fun playing together!  Here they are in their jammies getting ready to watch Frozen.
Finally our snow is melting and we and do fun things like swing!
 And slide!
And then we got a whole bunch of snow.  But thankfully it melted very quickly, and we are almost down to no snow at all!
I've been bad lately about taking pictures of her toys and how she plays.  I just love how her little mind works, and what she brings out to play with.  She had her binoculars out and her Pinkalicious notebook and was writing down all the things she could see with her binoculars.  Kept her busy for a long time!
Ellie is so excited it's warm enough for the hose to be out!
 Such tree climbing concentration
And she still loves to dress herself and comes up with the most creative outfits!

Grandma & Grandpa's House

We were over at Mom & Dad's a few times this winter to see them, and also to help babysit Ella and Ty.  Brian and Katie went to Mexico for their anniversary in January, and to Texas for a wedding in February.  Jocelyn is such a great help with the kids and of course is always excited to see them, as am I!

 Getting some Grandma love
This was the February trip.  We got a bunch of wet, packy snow, which was great for snowman building!

Ty is getting to the age where he wants to do whatever the girls are doing, but of course they don't want him doing what they're doing!  Now he knows how Brian felt all his life.

Grandpa brought in a huge icicle from the side of the house - that was so fun and so messy!

 My little lovey Ella
 It's getting hot in here...

These were their super hero outfits

Making donuts...I was so happy to be able to eat them!
Jocey had a few melt downs over the weekend..."I don't want to be 5!  I want to be little!"  This was usually after a conversation about how she was the big cousin and had to set a good example, or after either of the little kids messed up something she was working hard on.  Poor thing - it is hard being the oldest.  So we took a picture quick of her tower before it got knocked down!
We had brought over a bunch of toys at Christmas so no one would get bored.  They were still there for Ella and Ty to play with.  But Jocelyn loved to play with them too!  Even though they are "baby toys".  I love how she organized them so nicely (then Ty came and played with them - that was the end of that!).
Now we haven't seen them in a while and we miss them!
