Our Christmas

Christmas this year was even more fun than last year, probably because Jocelyn gets it now, and was very excited for everything Christmas means!  We had fun decorating, making cookies, wrapping presents, doing the advent calendar, singing Christmas songs, reading Christmas books and watching Christmas movies.

Jocelyn had her daycare Christmas party the week before Christmas.  They really did a nice job, had lots of fun activities for the kids to do, and Santa was there!  We've never taken her to see Santa before, because she would have been terrified.  But we talked it up this year, and while she didn't want to see Santa at the mall, she was okay with seeing him at day care.

Proof that she acutally sat on his lap!  We were so proud of her - she talked to him, told him what she wanted (green and purple nail polish, which he did manage to find in time!), and gave him a hug when she was done.

We've started a tradition of opening our family presents the Wednesday before Christmas when Kailee is with us.  It seems like Christmas Eve and Day are always so busy that it's nice to have just a quiet night opening our gifts and celebrating together.

Modeling all the clothes she got at once....
My present from Calvin and the girls was a new camera!  I was so excited - I've been wanting a new one for a while, even more so after I took Adam & Angie's with us to Montana this summer.  He got the same one as they have, which was great, because I already sort of know how to use it.  I was so glad to have it for Christmas, and have already taken a bizillion pictures.  Here are the first few testing it out....
