Christmas 2012

Okay - here starts the backlog of pictures!  And while Christmas seems like a long time ago, the kids at Jocey's day care were asking if it was Christmas on Thursday when we got all that snow.

We went down to Irvine Park to see all the Christmas lights...they decorate an entire park with lights; it's really neat.  It was pretty chilly so we didn't do too much walking, but did get out of the car for some pictures.

 Baking yummy cookies
Sunday, the 23rd, we went to Pat & Anita's for Christmas with the Kavanaugh's.  We had a nice relaxing day, ate too much, and had fun playing with the boys.

Those boys just don't like to smile on demand!
Jocelyn was holding tight to their hands so they'd stay nice for a picture

Really not impressed with this action.  I'm pretty sure Elliot was sick, so I'm sure pictures was the last thing he wanted to do.

Christmas Eve day we didn't have anything to do!  It was so nice and relaxing.  Jocelyn got to play with some of her new toys, and just enjoy some quiet family time.  Christmas Eve we went to church with Pat & Anita, and then went over to their house for dinner.  The other two families went to their other half, so it was just us!
Christmas Day we awoke to all the fun stuff Santa brought!  These were Jocelyn's favorite things - striped slippers, chapstick, and beef chicken (beef jerky).
We typically open gifts with our little family on a Wednesday before Christmas.  But this year it just didn't work out.  So we did it on Christmas Day morning after Kailee came over.

My present this year was an iPad!  I love it, and use it all the time.  This was right after we got it working...had to try out the funny photo shop!

Friday we headed over to Mom & Dad's to celebrate Christmas with them and Katie & Brian.  And we got to meet our new nephew, Ty!  He's sweet as can be - so happy and smiley.

I'll spare you most of the present opening pictures....

 Ella's a girl on a mission!
So happy to have another new cousin!

 The Bergner boys

The girls had a blast playing together - Ella's favorite phrase was "Hi Jocey!"  She probably said it a million times.  They get along great and it's so nice that they distract each other!

This is what Calvin came home to on New Year's Eve...boo.  We did have quite a few break - it's probably a good thing I didn't come home first; I would have been too sad.  It was a very motivating way to get the Christmas stuff taken down, though!
We did have a very nice Christmas - very relaxing and had some good quality time with both of our families.  How blessed we are!
