Random August & September pics

In August Jocelyn and I went over to the Cities so we could babysit Ella & Ty while Katie & Brian and my parents went to a wedding shower.  They both did great, but I honestly don't know how people with 3 kids get a thing done!  I'm sure it is different when you're used to it and are at your own house, but yikes.  I'm trying to get Ty to bed, and am having to trust Jocelyn to watch Ella (which I do - she does great with her) and hope that Ella doesn't try climbing everything and fall and break her neck.  Luckily that didn't happen, and we all lived to tell about it. :)  They're both at a hard stage - Ty's not too sure about strangers, and Ella is starting to be sad when her Mommy is gone.  But we had Jocelyn and a patchy, so we were fine!

Again, they have a few more pictures since I left the camera at home, but here are a few from the iPad.

Mom wanted some new pictures of Jocelyn for her frames, so I got a few that turned out pretty cute.

Jocelyn did the summer reading program at the library this year, and one of the prizes was a train ride in Carson Park.  We've lived here for how long, and neither of us had ever done it.  So, Labor Day weekend we went down and checked it out.  Jocelyn wasn't impressed - she thought it was an actual train ride that went somewhere.  It really is just a short ride thru the woods - probably takes 5 minutes.  It was cute though, and if you were 2 or 3 and really into trains, it would be awesome.

Jocelyn started dance class again!  After last year's unfortunate end to the season, she swore off dance forever.  But she had a really great teacher this year who is also a dance teacher.  I think she loved her teacher so much that she decided she would try it again!  Her first class was last Thursday, and we had a 4K meeting so Ama got to take her.  They went shopping for new leotards and shoes, so I think she was pretty excited.  She said she did good - the class is for 3 & 4 year olds, so I'm sure she's one of the oldest, which helps.
And Kailee started her last year of Middle School!  Yes, 8th grade, here we come!  She's playing volleyball right away this fall, and confirmation starts next week.  Plus fall softball on the weekends...it'll be a whirlwind start to the year!
